No Respect For The Wicked⚖

 There is something to be said about grown men and women believing that age guarantees respect.

That they can look at teenagers, children or young adults and treat them like nothing simply because they were born some years before them. 

As far as I'm concerned, Respect should be earned.

A man shouldn't insult me and belittle me simply because he believes that it is my role to simply stare and watch him speak to me as if I am undeserving of that same respect that he demands.

NO.

I have had enough of holding my tongue when my "elders" speak to me with disregard to me feelings and with a complete indifference to the fact that I am a person who thinks and breathes and exists.

It gets me sick to remember how I had to listen to a lecturer insult me because I told him he scheduled our exam score viewing to the detriment of my class, and to listen to another calmly tell me that "honesty pays" when they had concluded, with no proper evidence that I was simply lying.

He said that just because I was pretty I did not need to have everything go my way.

Fuck him

Fuck the lot of them

They always teach us how to nod our heads and agree with whatever comes out of their mouths. They teach us that we should respect these group of people as though it is their birth right.

They don't teach us how to react when we are wronged. When we are there staring helpless, because these people who are older than us sometimes abuse, threaten and even harrass us and we freeze, because we are conditioned to defer to these people.

Fuck that and Fuck them

They can shove their respect up their asses where they apparently also stash their self respect.

I will never respect anyone who never respects me.

I will always push back when I feel properly wronged and mistreated.

I will be angry and frustrated and livid whenever some man or woman decides that my age in respect to theirs makes me a sort of punching bag to appease whatever sick desires that they may have.

Never again.

Respect is Reciprocal.

I think we should all remember that.

There are some things that we believe we are above.  Things like death.
